PHILIPS OEM component new product release 2018

Lead: PHILIPS changed the light source market last year with the launch of the CertaFlux series of COB products. Now, on the 20th of June, the Philips OEM channel has released new products. As an old lighting giant, how will Philips’ new products shake the lighting market this year? Let us wait and see.

In the first half of last year, Philips launched the CertaFlux series of COB chips. As a specialized COB product for circulation to the Chinese market, CertaFlux has significantly increased PHILIPS’s market share. This is due to its superior optical performance, system solutions, and reasonable prices.

Three Philips product managers gathered on the 20th of June in Zhongshan, let’s see what surprises there will be this year.

Indoor products: perfect product system and enriched applications

The economical CertaFlux series COB chip has already stood firm in the light source market. This year Philips has enriched the product selection based on the existing products, giving manufacturers and terminal customers more choice.

Specific model extensions:

  • Completion of the 827/927 series
  • Added an 860 full range
  • Add 950 1205/1208 Series

The 1204, 1205, and 1208 models have increased by 2700K, providing a richer selection of lighting applications for hotels and entertainment venues. The increase in 6000k color temperature enriches the lighting options for large commercial locations, such as supermarkets.

While perfecting the CertaFlux product line, PHILIPS also developed a special CertaFlux poke-in holder.

Features:

  • Free welding, easy to install
  • High reliability
  • With Philips drive power, you can enjoy a system warranty of 3 or 5 years, depending on the type of drive

In addition to the existing economical driver CertaDrive, the CertaDrive Mini series has been miniaturized. The launch of this product offers more possibilities for luminaire manufacturers to miniaturize track lights

In addition, CertaDrive’s low power factor series from the original 6-12W, now adds a 4W, which can greatly increase the selection of hotel lighting applications, providing strong support for Philips to develop a small power market.

    Outdoor module series

Philips has launched the second generation module on the original outdoor module Xitanium PLM. Let’s look at the specific parameter changes.

    Philips leads connected lighting

Philips changed its name to Signify this year and moved into a new headquarters building. The building uses the intelligent lighting control POE system. The POE system can only be Philips’ intelligent system for office and outdoor, which are data acquisition, control, and integration.

    In conclusion

All in all, Philips’ new products this year are mainly the enrichment and optimization of previous products, and there are no very revolutionary products. However, this is understandable. In today’s mature LED technology, companies are focusing on their own market segments.

At this year’s Frankfurt exhibition, we saw Philips’ LIFI-led smart interconnect technology, which will open the first year of smart lighting for the lighting industry.

Signify now calls itself “the world leader in connected LED lighting systems, software, and services.” We, at Lighting maker, also hope that we have the extraordinary potential to bring light for brighter lives and a better world.
